[REPOST] LIVE AT BILL GRAHAM'S FILLMORE WEST (COLUMBIA 1969) Jap mastering cardboard sleeve + 2 bonus

I had some requests to repost some of my sharing here, in lossless [flac] files.
My standard sharing as you know is mp3 @256 & I,m not gonna change it for anyone!
If you like an album & you want to own it in the best possible sound quality, just buy it as I do!!!it's simple!!!
.......................................
Anyway as an exception I will repost the "Live At Graham's Fillmore West" album in LOSSLESS FLAC FILES here, just because as a limited edition it went out of print (sold out) only a few weeks after its official Jap release & I suppose there are many people who want to buy it & simply they can't find it anymore!....
.......................................
NOTE: The links will remain active ONLY FOR A FEW DAYS!!!
So hit them NOW because I will never accept other requests for [flac] reposts in the future...

Georgie, Great post! I have to agree with your stance on flac uploads but I really appreciate this one. Thanks again for your tireless work, Cheers CZ

Some people's obsession with FLAC files is ridiculous. Keep as you are, your site is amazing. The thing that really amazes me is some bootleg sites insist on only posting FLAC files - what that all about? I can't afford to swallow up my monthly download limit on huge files like that.

I agree with both of the previous comments... FLAC is way overrated IMHO. Everything I have ever downloaded from here @ the standard mp3 bitrate has sounded phenomenal, especially since the original masters were only 8, maybe 16 track analogue at best (or in some cases mono). Only pure audiophiles with ridiculously expensive equipment would ever be able to tell the difference between the two, and that's on a good day. With that said, I do thank you for going the extra mile on behalf the purists (and they should be thanking you a whole lot more), but I'm just as content to go back to the archive and check out the mp3 link. Besides, as the old saying goes, beggars can't be choosers... Keep on doing your thing YOUR way. Both of your blogs consistently provide excellent posts, and even if you chose to rip at 128kbs, I would still be just as grateful :)

Peace and blessings.

Just a quick addition to the ANTI-FLAC movement - yes! FLAC files are indistinguishable from mp3 files for anyone without bat's ears. Even 128s are very difficult to tell from 320s. Don't waste your time and hard drive space on FLACs!

Hi Georgie thanks to post this excellent album with FLAC files, I prefer this kind of files that mp3. I dont' agree that mp3 at 128@ has the same quality than 320@.
Bye,
Juan

Forget about FLAC. Half the time it doesn't work - OK, I admit I've got a Mac/I Tunes....And I agree with those that say that mp3 is as good as we need. Anyway....I hope FLACOPHILES are happy, and that this is just an exception. We still love you......

Thank you for posting this album. i haven't seen it in years. I do have the vinyl buried somewhere in my record cabinet. (I know, I know, what's a record cabinet) You have a very interesting site. Thanks again

Thanks for your great job.
I prefer mp3 at 320kbps, but if it isn't possible, 256 kbps is not bad. It's your blog and your decision.

i present my sincerest & deepest THANX for this upload, having requested it. i can't say how GRATEFUL i am, having seriously attempted to get the japanese edition from just about anywhere. it's not a matter of not wanting to pay - i LOVE the album & would have bought it at any reasonable price (still would!), but simply could not find it anywhere. so: THANX, THANX, THANX! i will not request anything else (in flac or otherwise), but i do appreciqate your willingness to share rare out-of-print editions in flac or pm3 with us enormously! with my very best greetings & wishes, a deeply grateful - ubique

I'm very glad that there are such great blogs like this here that make it possible to get to know great music but for those who hear no difference in quality: You got NO ears. So don't bla bla because most music lovers GOT ears. ...Well, yes there are people that can't tell green from red indeed but others CAN ...so... If you enjoy poor quality in music, food, friends etc. just go ahead and live your 128 kbpm-Lives. Not for me, thanks!

I guess I have the most of these albums in Jap mini LPs except the "Rod Stewart" & the "Hollies" ones...
But you know I have some problems this time...don't want to post "big names" already in print in the US or UK, like the "JamesGang" or "Caravan"...don't know...time will show.
I recently received the "Yer Album" & I can tell the sound is unbelievable.... I felt like I was listening to this album for the frst time....lol
As for the James Brown I will post many jap albums soon on "Magic Notes".....stay in tune!
My regards

Is the web really a free place? can web users use their freedom?

I asked myself these questions after reading the ridiculous arguments of pro and anti flacs.

Georgie has his absolut freedom to post in the way he wants and bloggers can be free to download his post or not to do so.

That's my opinion.

hey... you people have taken it on yourselves to be the living memory of the music (a good thing, and I take my hat off to you). so you OWE it... not just to the spirit of the performer, but to the generations of people like us who will come along and pick up your sorry mp3-whatever formats whereever you leave them. and then use them for the next group and so-on. You OWE it if you're gonna put it out there. I mean, why start on your journey but go only 7/8ths of the friggin' mile? I don't get it...

No commenter here is telling the blog owner what do do, right? Check through the comments. Nobody is being anything but grateful for the music. But the flac thing is a legitimate issue. I've done tests with my friends, and they can't tell the difference between flac and a good mp3 rip, and it doesn't have to be 320. We're all hi-fi freaks. I have a great vinyl collection, tube amp, the whole deal. I also have pretty good hearing. If you do a little research on the net, you'll get many such observations - blindfolded, it's a sure bet most people won't be able to pick out a flac recording. It may be nice and reassuring to believe you have the ultimate rip, and therefore you have the best-sounding music, but experience shows it to be nothing but a waste of bandwidth and hard disk space. There'll always be those who get all pompous about it and say "well, *I* can tell the difference, even if *you* can't", but that doesn't alter the basic facts - mp3s are fine, and listening to them doesn't make you a philistine with a tin ear!

If i were to find selections of such great quality and interest as those found in your blog (and before...?) in both flac and pm3, I for one, would go for flac. Because it is better (not faster nor lighter) in matters of similarity to the original piece of music. Many congrats and many many thanks (did anyone mention Georgie's Player? Pleasures big time!)
