Hi Great side. Looking for the MONO mix of the BYRDS. Can you help me?

Thanks Paul

Thanks for these wonderful rarities, Georgie. It's a pity that this and The Washington Apple rip seem to be full of some strange high frequency distortion/noise especially at the peak of the vocals and occasionally guitar and flute. Could you please check that out, if that's not too much to ask?
Thanks for all your efforts and please keep up the good work.
Greetings from Denmark.

I know....I Know....
Unfortunately as I have said many times Korean cds are not like the Japanese HQ pressings...
in this case, only a few albums of the "Big Pink's" output are from the original master tapes.
Their reissues are always legal, but the company usually gets permission from the artists themselves who do not necessarily have access to the master tapes, or they are lost forever...
From my experience l can tell for sure that these two albums are..."cleaned" vinyl rips & nothing more.
The same for the "Collage" album.
Only the "These Trails" album is from the master tapes...that's for sure!
You can feel the difference by your self!
Thanks guys

Georgie,
Thanks for your response.
And I thought that maybe something had happened in the process of ripping or converting the files.
Gosh! These records companies are really unreliable these days. You never know what you will get for your money until the shipment arrives.
Greetings,
Olaf

Love your tendency to post these psych folk pop gems. It's a 'Free Design' world!

Free Design has that much in common with a least one of the members of THIS group, Patty Gefell, both coming from Western New York State, Patty specifically from Penfield, NY outside of Rochester. I knew her from the 'Teen League Folk Festivals' that were a part of the sixties in our area. In fact I went to her house to audition myself at a time when I was NOT very good. But she was and a whole lot of other folks, many of whom, became my friends over the years. Sadly, I have never heard of her again after this LP came out ( I owned it at one time just because I Knew her) and I have been VERY active in the Metro Rochester area musically lo, all these years. Thanks for posting this, George.

I love this sound. This encapsulates so much of what I liked about the music of the early 70s. It was one of the truly great eras of modern music.

I haven't been able to get online as often as I like these days. The sad thing is that every time I come to your blog the links have expired. Oh well. At least I get to hear about these albums and have something to go looking for!

cheers
