MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING - IN WONDERLAND (NIMBUS 1968) Japan/Korea mastering cardboard sleeve

Incredible harmony pop , an album that's as sunshiney as anything coming from the west coast in the late 60s but which was recorded up in Canada by this obscure little group! The group features both male and female voices , strung together wonderfully, with a sophistication that's way more than simple pop and backed with full strings and tightly groovy rhythms, in a quality that's almost like A&M pop at its best, but even more unique. There's a near-perfect quality to the record through and through a sound that makes us wonder why this one stayed so off the radar, but which makes us love it all that much more for its uniqueness. A number of tracks are familiar, but redone with a very groovy 60s edge -- and titles include "Look Around", "Wonderland", "Do You Know The Way To San Jose", "Pretty People", "Rain Rain Go Away", "Always True To You Darling In My Fashion", and "When The World Was Young"...

I'm afraid I don't even know the..."Walter Raim Concept".

Ok,George,this is from Dusty Groove:

Heavenly work from The Walter Raim Concept -- a warmly-tinged vocal group with a sound that's somewhere between Spanky & Our Gang and Singers Unlimited! A few years earlier, and the group might have just been a stock "chorus vocals" sort of ensemble -- but here, at the dawn of the 70s, they're recording with a style that has a fair bit of Sunshine Pop touches too -- a mode that reminds us a lot of the Alan Copeland Singers album on A&M, thanks to a nice undercurrent of groove in the mix! Singers are both male and female -- coming together with a sweet style that's a bit like The Free Design, but a bit more grown up too -- and the titles include some originals by Raim, plus a few other well-chosen tunes. Tracks include "Endless Possibilities", "It's Always Somewhere Else", "A Woman Looking For Love", "City Of Grey", "Those Beautiful People", "Nice Lady", "I'll Never Fall In Love Again", and "I Hear Bells".

i just ordered the exact CD issue, from japan, and it looks to be a very nice package, and under $20.00!! I usually am a 1st pressing snob..haha, but I don't mind having a CD for this one, as even in Canada, where it's from, it's incredibly rare! As you probably know, a mint LP copy is usually around $350.00 I checked out your post and must say nice scans and representation of the album. Peaces

I guess 350$ is a...."normal" price for this LP in a mint condition...
I never had a chance to locate an original copy just to find out what it looks like!! aaahahahah
guess this Korean reissue is an exact replica of the original album anyway...
